Mike Chambers has spent the last 8 years building applications that target the Flash runtime. During that time, he has worked with numerous technologies including Flash, Generator, Central, Flex, and Ajax.
He is currently in charge of developer relations for Apollo, a project which aims to bring the power of Rich Internet Applications to the desktop.
Mike is a Senior Product Manager for Developer Relations at Adobe. He has co-authored a number of books and articles, and spoken at numerous conferences.
Advanced Desktop Development with Adobe AIR
Adobe AIR is Adobe's new cross platform runtime for developing and deploying Flash based applications to the desktop. In this session, Mike will cover some of the more advanced techniques for working with Adobe AIR, including online / offline data syncing, working with the file API, integrating with local hardware and much more.
Mike will also give a sneak peak and go in depth into some of the new features and APIs which will be coming in the next generation of Adobe AIR
