Stacey Mulcahy is a technical evangelist with Microsoft focusing on Modern Web Technologies and IoT. She spends much of her free time volunteering with Young Game Makers and Code Liberation. In a previous life, she was the Lead Developer working with a variety of technologies at Big Spaceship, a digital agency based out of Brooklyn, NY.

Many projects have a social media aspect - whether it be to create custom applications around a particular social media service or integrate choice features into a site.
This presentation will serve as an introduction to social media and consuming social media services focusing on Facebook and Twitter.
Topics such as Open Authorization, development libraries, api restrictions, resources and quirks will be covered, with a few humorous examples illustrating their use.
