Photographer Chuck Close once said "Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work." Maybe. But, if you open your eyes, ears, hands, nose and mind you can't help but be inspired by your surroundings, particularly if you switch off your computer.
With Twitter, Pinterest and showcase blogs providing more images than any one person can handle, it might seem as if everything you need is on your screen. But I believe you're missing out on a world of inspiration if you depend solely on internet based images.
