Bio
Angie Taylor is an UK-based digital filmmaker specialising in animation, motion graphics and visual effects. Her clients include the BBC, Channel 4, MTV and Sky.
Angie provided visual effects on the John Williams-directed "Hibernation", winner of six awards at international film festivals, including 'best short' award at the 2005 Manhattan, Rhode Island, Edinburgh and Zagreb Film festivals.
She worked with D-Fuse designing animation for cutting-edge Beck DVD 'Guero' provided morphing animation for the controversial Aphex Twin / Chris Cunningham collaboration 'Rubber Johnny' and is currently working on a live DVD for punk band, The Slits.
The author of 'Creative After Effects 7 - Workflow Techniques for Animation, Visual Effects and Motion Graphics', she is an Adobe Certified Expert in After Effects and an Apple Solutions Expert for video.

Kinetic Typography Animation In Photoshop & After Effects
Kinetic Typography is an art-form combining text and motion to express ideas in the form of animation to spoken word or music. This session features an animation project Angie worked on in collaboration with artist and musician, Richard Walker.
Angie will discuss the rules of typography applied to motion design. She'll cover automating tedious processes in Photoshop, how to build successful project structures and efficient workflows in After Effects - maintaining sanity!
She will demonstrate several techniques and workflows specifically designed for kinetic typography; Using Photoshop Variables and Actions to automate text features in Photoshop. Creating classic graphics with Text layers in After Effects (and how to understand text animators!)
Parenting, nulls and expressions will be used to simplify complex animation tasks. Third-party scripts will fill feature gaps in After Effects. You will also see some new 3D features from After Effects CS5.5 and see how they can impact your designs.
