Chrissie Macdonald is a London-based illustrator, maker and designer who approaches her craft in three dimensions, playing with a variety of materials.
As co-founder of the multi-disciplinary group Peepshow Collective she works both on her own 3D sculptural pieces and illustrations for clients such as the V&A, New York Times magazine, Newsweek, Creative Review, Wallpaper* and The Guardian, as well as collaboratively with the other members on exhibition and installation projects.
Monopoly, mouse stilts and a tattooed orange.
I’ll be discussing my approach to illustration, design and craft and how my personal practice and commercial work inform each other.
As well as sharing some of my projects, inspirations and influences i’ll be looking at why and how - after almost 20 years of producing 3D illustration - i've begun to carve out a new path for myself.
My talk will also include a tri-currency Monopoly board (designed by my sister, a friend and I circa 1987), mouse stilts and a tattooed orange.
