Andre Michelle lives in Cologne Germany
Since 1998 he always liked to explore the limitations of browser based applications and even talked Adobe into implementing a proper sound API in the Flashplayer.
Formerly being a Techno DJ in the 90s he started being focussed on audio programming in 2007. His first emulation of the TR909 drum-computer was the foundation of the online music workstation audiotool.com which community has grown to more than a million users.
The web-audio-api and web-midi-api are pure gold nuggets inside your browser, coming without the need of any third-party plugin. They are great to prototype fully-fletched synthesisers for serious musicians and at the same time encourage you to fool around with ludicrous approaches to dive into sound design. André Michelle will give you a brief insight on both APIs, some necessary backgrounds on sound fundamentals and a bunch of experiments to get you inspired.
